Ed Sheeran Give Dying Fan The Ultimate Gift

It's no secret that Ed Sheeran is good to his fans, but what he did for one ill fan goes above and beyond what most artists will do.

During a recent appearance on Ireland's "The Ray D'Arcy Show," a young man named Aiden Priestly revealed the selfless act Ed did for Aiden's terminally ill 15-year-old sister Triona Priestly.

Right before Triona lost her battle with cystic fibrosis in 2014, Ed called the teenager after being made aware of the fan's condition through a Twitter campaign, "#SongForTri."

"We were in this small little ICU room. Triona in this huge bed covered in tubes and machines," Aiden shared. "My brother left the room. He returned then and said 'I'm just going to put you on loud speaker,' and he clicks it, then Ed Sheeran comes on and saying 'Hi Triona. I hear you're a big fan."

Ed then performed the tune "Little Bird," because it was Triona's favorite and soon after her heart had stopped.

Not long after that Ed reacted to the news of Triona's death, writing on Twitter, "Rest in peace Triona, so heartbreaking x."
