An Indiana boy out hunting for mushrooms has dug up the mother lode of mushrooms. 13-year-old Kayden Graber unearthed a foot-tall morel mushroom Sunday in Greene County. Morels are known for their nutty and meaty flavor and this massive mushroom could feed an entire family.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said on a Facebook posting that this is the prime morel hunting season with the mushrooms at their height in April and May.
