A Florida man says his backyard is overrun with vicious monkeys.
Brian Pritchard originally told "WFTV" that about 50 rhesus macaque monkeys have invaded his backyard in Ocala and have been eating from his deer feeders. Pritchard said the primates climb up a feeder and spin the plate around to make corn feed shoot out in all directions, feeding all the monkeys. At last count, they've devoured over 250 pounds of feed so far and remain in the yard.
He lives near Silver Springs State Park, which is home to about 200 rhesus macaques. Pritchard says the monkeys are "extremely nasty," but doesn't want any trouble with them. "As long as they don't bother me or my kids," he said, "I'm not going to bother them."
